WHY is this deviation getting so much attention? Does anyone know? Like, is someone really famous on DA linking me?
I SWEAR, if you clear this up for me I'll color this piece and draw you a sketch!

These are roughs of the kimono page I'm doing for my dolls. But I really need help figuring out how to organize and price everything that I make for this project.
please help me by answering these questions!!!
1. Should i sell pages of just one style of clothes? Like all kimonos, all school outfits, all beachwear... or should I create sets A, B, C, and D, each with one unique kimono, school uniform, swimsuit, etc...
2. Should I sell single outfits?
3. How much should I charge for each doll, each outfit, or a page of outfits?
4. What clothing styles do you think I should do? I'm going to be making boy dolls too, so tell me about that... cuz it's hard to come up with good outfits for boys!(I.e, punk rocker, goth-loli, fantasy, hip-hop street, ballgowns, etc...)
5. Do you think it's super important to include a character's original outfit with them? (it's a lot of extra work and it's not really intechangable between dolls.)
6. How should i color the clothes? (With color pencils or watercolor, cuz I can't handle CG yet. )
i may be too late in submitting a comment tho anyways, let's see...
1. I kind of like the set of outfits (one kimono, one beachwear etc) idea, gives a variety to the doll. You can start off with that first, before setting out categorized outfits (all kimono, all schoolwear, all beachwear etc)
2. Single outfits would be great if they are unique from the sets. For example: Victorian style gown, or an elaborately designed kimono.
3. As for pricing, I can't be sure since our currencies are different
4. There are different styles you can do: modern (spaghetti, 3/4 jeans, boots), Ancient Greece (toga ^^), sportswear (baseball gear, cheerleading outfits)...you can browse through fashion magazines or do a google search for different styles of clothes Creating outfits that can be mixed and matched would be a great idea
As for the boys' outfits, you can use the same categories as the girls: create kimonos for the guys (grey hakama pants for example), Fantasy would be good too say 'Prince Charming' or something , sportswear, beachwear, punk-rock, hip-hop, something sexy...? lol...
5. For this, do the 'Barbie' thing, which is, create their own unique outfit just for that doll. It's true that you can't probably interchange it between dolls, but then again, there will be plenty of other outfits, so the original outfit may not be used at all ^-^
6. Hmm...to colour, you can use whatever's most comfortable to you, but if you're not good at CG, you can just prepare the lineart and have someone else CG it for you. Or you can practice CGing with your own lineart which is even better
phew...I really like your kimono drawings, they're beautiful. Probably just needs to have the pencil lines cleared up, and they'll be ready for colouring. when you say dolls, you mean 'paper dolls' am i right? I can't be sure ehehe... Well, I can try colouring for you if you have the lineart, but that's just an offer (i'm not that good at CG either x_o) I hope this helps! Keep up the good work!
6. Watercolors or pencils work fine, sometimes better, than CG'ing when it comes to designing clothes. After you're sure what colors you want and know how they'll look like, CG all you want (just know that you don't have to).
Sorry I can't help with the other points. Having never made paper-dolls myself, I don't know anything. BUT! I'd actually love to paint this. It looks like a lot of fun! Would that be all right with you?
mm, i know why, it's because it a sketch of something in your mind and people want to see sketches of inspiration, or at least i know i do lol. [link]

Is there a place where one can learn the dance of a geisha or am I simply an American girl, dreaming of a world she can never be a part of?
